In search of performance, taken by real champions
The Track Master Course is designed for those who want to approach the world of competition, are already racing or want to participate in a high-level track day, and need personalised teaching to fully exploit their potential.
This, the most advanced of all the DRE courses, adopts a more specific racing format, with in-depth theoretical analysis focusing on riding techniques aimed at maximum performance and its repeatability. You will also receive information on how to fine-tune your bike.

All the bikes for the Track Master will, in addition, be equipped with the DDA data acquisition system, which ensures the use of telemetry at any time.

Programme structure

The course will take place over a day and a half: the afternoon of the first day will consist of a 2-hour technical briefing during which Alessandro Valla, official Ducati test rider and Master Course supervisor, will cover subjects including: bike management in order to maximise performance in terms of lap times during the different stages of riding; rhythm control with the assistance of fixed and chronometric references; influence of suspension quotas on bike dynamics; tyres, choice of compound and use of tyre warmers.

The following day, before the track sessions get under way, pupils will meet with Alessandro Valia to talk about the topics covered as well as any doubts or clarifications.

Participants will be divided into small groups of three, each of which will be guided by an expert instructor. Groups are formed beforehand according to your stated experience. Participants will, however, be evaluated by the team of instructors during the first session in order to create uniform groups based on demonstrated riding ability. After the groups have been formed, five practical sessions will be held. Before and after each session you will receive feedback from your instructor.

Participants on the Track Master Course enjoy three exclusive track sessions: the track will be given over to this course and the Champs Academy alone and pupils will have the chance to make the most of the track and the techniques learned during the day.

Since the Track Master Course focuses on the more extreme techniques of sports riding, it is recommended that you have already participated in lower level DRE courses.

Apparel and equipment

The bike used for this course is the fantastic 1299 Panigale S, Ducati’s latest long-awaited release, distinguished by exclusive technical features such as the Öhlins Smart EC electronic suspension system and the Ducati Quick Shift – active even for downshift – which ensure maximum control and safety. These features are in addition to the already numerous configurations available, both for the engine, thanks to Riding Mode technology, and the suspension set-up.

The required apparel consists of a leather suit, a back protector, a full-face helmet, gloves and boots. Those without the required items will be able to hire them (D|air suit included) when purchasing the course online, subject to availability.

Participants in the Track Master Course are required to hold a class A licence without limitations on engine capacity.
